We don’t believe in simply coming in, doing the work, and then leaving. The reality is that the work will be done far more quickly and far more successfully when we have built a relationship first – when there is trust between us and your organization and your leaders. It’s simple: when we work as partners, work is simpler to accomplish, we have more fun, and we’re all more successful.
There are a lot of ways to approach consulting and while we could spend all of our time looking for the problems and identifying everything that is wrong, we know that we will be more successful when we focus on the solution. Attitude is a choice. And the choices we make will affect everything else. If we want to be more successful and have a bigger impact, we must focus on our attitude. Our actions will start to change our work, our team and our world.
If there is one single thing that gets in the way of successful consulting work, it’s a lack of mutually clear expectations. We take significant time and energy to understand what you need, what you want, what success looks like to you, and what you expect us to deliver.
While we will always be innovative and look for new ways to solve problems, we know that simple, elegant, and timeless principles work, and we won’t waver from our belief in and application of those principles.
Everything we do is built on the same foundational principles that we’ve been teaching from day one. These principles are powerful and they become even more powerful by their consistent, ongoing application.
There are times when outside of the organization, there is something that needs to be said. There is something that no one inside the organization is talking about that needs to be talked about. There’s feedback that needs to be delivered. You’re not bringing in a consultant to nod and smile and agree with everything you say. There’d be no need for outside help if that’s what you were looking for. Coupled with the relationships that we build, we are able to have these conversations – conversations that are delivered kindly, positively, and proactively to help you move towards your desired outcomes more quickly.
If we have clear expectations, we’ll all know when we’re done.
